Summer fishing 2016

Well as may starts and we begin moving into the summer months the bite switch to top water in the morning and live bait as the morning progresses . Pig fish should be available in the next few weeks as bait and if you have never fished using them you are in for a treat . The pig fish will call in large trout and reds and the strike is aggressive. It’s not unusual to limit out in just a few hours using them . Tarpon should be showing themselves in the next few weeks as well and they can range from large over 100# to juvenile under 30# and caught using live or artificial baits as well as fly . On calm days tailing red fish can be found in the grass flats these can be caught using soft plastics or live shrimp and a lot of fun . Tight lines
